I don’t think I’m going to attend the final session before the switch over but I did want to ask a question. Is there a way of importing a static list into real-time? We have some static lists created in Outbound and not sure how to transfer these without adding each individual name manually. This is likely to be a function we need moving forward so wondered if you can help?
Many thanks
Hi Mandy, are your static lists created from marketing lists? If so, maybe check out this post: https://meganvwalker.com/create-segments-from-marketing-lists/
Hi Megan, I’m not sure if this question has already been asked, but I’ve noticed a difference between outbound and real-time marketing in Dynamics 365.
In the Outbound Marketing event form, when an event registration is deleted, the associated contact appears in the “Contacts who canceled” section. However, in Real-Time Marketing, this section is hidden by default, and even when I reveal it using God Mode, it’s empty.
Do you know why this functionality isn’t available in Real-Time Marketing? Is there a workaround or alternative way to track canceled registrations in that module?
Hi Arezou, there was a change recently to allow someone to cancel their own Event Registration record. It used to be that the Event Registration record was deleted and what you were seeing was something being displayed based on virtual information (not stored in D365). Now when cancelled, the Event Registration record still exists, but the status is changed from Active to Inactive instead. There is a standard view called Registration and attendance of Realtime events that shows the status field on it and would show ALL of the Event Registration records. They are still there, you might just need to switch the view to see them.
